About Bakpak
David Barish started Bakpak Travelers Guides in March of 1998 and is proud to celebrate Bakpak's 10th Annual edition - the 2007 USA/Canada Hostels & Travel Guide.
Hostel Guides
Our bread and butter is publishing "Hostel & Travel' Guides for students, backpackers and independent, like-minded travelers. Our hostel guides are compact, portable and chock full of info you want & need - but still fit in your pocket!
We publish hostel guides covering the USA & Canada and Europe in both Print and E-book formats. Bakpak's Europe Hostels & Travel Guide is consistently at the top of the search list for Europe hostels on Amazon.com.
Bakpak Websites
Bakpakguide.com provides real links to hostel sites. Unlike most other sites these days that just offer a link to a book a hostel online, bakpakguide.com allows you to take advantage of the benefits of booking directly with a hostel. Such benefits included: more inventory available than 3rd-party booking engines, no commissions, no deposits to pay or lose, avoid higher prices and more flexibilty.
Bakpak also operatesEuropehostelsguide.com and hosteldiscounts.com
David Barish, Owner/Publisher
Before starting Bakpak Travelers Guides, David set-up, co-owned and operated a top-rated hostel, the Nomads Market Inn, in South Melbourne, Australia and lived in Melbourne for 3 years. Prior to his involvement in the travel industry, David (a CPA in New York) was an auditor for Arthur Andersen and Price Waterhouse.
David was recently married to Ina. They spent two-months honeymooning in Africa, narrowly escaping the grips of a mad lioness. David and Ina, both native New Yorkers, now reside in Los Angeles.
