From the Airport

Vancouver International Airport is located about 10 miles south of downtown Vancouver. The cheapest way to get to downtown Vancouver from the airport is by public bus. Fares vary from depending on the destination and time of day.

Getting Around

BC Transit   Vancouver’s public transport system includes buses, skytrains and seabuses and operates all services from 5am to 12:30 am. Fares are $2.50 for 1 zone, $3.75 for 2 zones and $5 for 3 zones. Day passes cost $9. Exact fare is required. After 6:30pm on weekdays and all day on weekends and holidays, the fare is only $2.50 to any zone. The Skytrain runs between Waterfront Station and the King George Highway in Surrey (about 30 miles south of Vancouver) between 5am and 1 am. The Seabus is a 12-minute ferry ride that connects Waterfront Station with Lonsdale Quay in the North Shore across the harbor. (604) 953-3333
BC Ferries   Ferries to Vancouver Island, Nanaimo and the Gulf Islands leave from two Vancouver terminals, Tsawwassen and Horseshoe Bay, each 45 minutes outside of downtown Vancouver. Crossing times are 90 minutes and there is frequent service daily. Costs between $4.05 and $13.75. (888) 223-3779
