If you're looking for a hostel that is uniquely Vancouver, you need to stay with us at the Cambie Hostel @ Gastown!

Dorms $22+, Private $56+

We've had decades of experience establishing ourselves as a Vancouver legend and we're ready to help YOU have a legendary time in Vancouver! Our hostel is close to attractions, restaurants, transportation centres, and nightlife - and if you're overwhelmed by the choices we have a kick-ass staff that can help you plan your time while you're here.

From beer to bed to breakfast the Cambie Hostel @ Gastown is the best way to stay in the most historic district in the city. You can party like a local downstairs at the busiest bar in BC or chill upstairs with travelers from around the world in the hostel common room equipped with full kitchen amenities. And when the day is done and you're falling asleep in a comfortable double bed, you can look forward to the best breakfast in the city when you wake up (free muffin and coffee or a small fee for a continental breakfast with hash browns, toast, eggs, and sausage/ham/bacon).

Home to one of Vancouver's busiest and most diverse bars, The Cambie has become a Vancouver institution. Rock and Roll, Hip Hop, Classics, and pretty much everything else resound off the jukebox nightly. If you fit into a scene or live outside the mainstream you belong in our bar. Students, artists, scenesters, hipsters and professionals (basically everyone) pack the bar every night so it is never the same. Save off our already low nightly prices by buying our super-saving Cambie Membership card for $15. The card discounts the price at all Cambie hostel locations (Vancouver and Nanaimo). Membership also gives you 10% off food and Cambie merchandise, and ridiculous deals on activities for the adventurous traveler like whitewater rafting, adventure tours, skydiving, bungee jumping, kayaking, scuba diving, sporting events and more!!

Please Note: Cambie Member Card holders receive the discount off the original bed rate only, excluding the 10% booking deposit. Bookings of 2 or more persons made in dormitory rooms are NOT guaranteed to be in the same room at the time of check in. We require 48 hours for cancellation. The total of the first night's stay will be charged to the credit card of the guest that does not arrive on the reserved day of check-in and has not cancelled in time. WEEKLY RATES: We are currently offering weekly rates. Weekly rates cannot be arranged until check-in at the Cambie. Weekly rates are completely non-refundable, must be paid in full on arrival, and guests on weekly rates get only one free breakfast for the week, not one a day. There is a minimum charge of 2 night's stay arriving on the 30th or 31st of December. Rates are subject to change without notice.
