FROM VANCOUVER INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (YVR)
Public Transit: Canada Line Skytrain to Downtown (Cheap and easy!)
1) From the Domestic Terminal, head to the Link Building (located on Level 3 in between the International and Domestic terminals) and up the escalators or elevators to Level 4. An overhead walkway takes you to the Canada Line train station. From the International Terminal, head to Level 3 and cross the street to the parkade outside the terminal. Elevators and escalators take you up to the Canada line station platform.
2) Take the train to Vancouver City Center station.
3) Walk South down Granville street (away from the water and the mountains) for 3 blocks. The hostel is just past Nelson street on the right hand side.
Trip Duration: about 40 minutes AND Cost: $3.75
Trains run from the airport to downtown from 5:10a.m. to 12:57a.m.
Taxi (for a little more luxury)
You can catch one of the many taxis located on either "Arrivals" Level.
Trip Duration: 25 minutes AND Cost: Approximately $25.00 plus tip
Note: If you are in a group, you might want to consider traveling in style. Limousines, which can also be caught on the "Arrivals" level, are only a few dollars more than taxis. Hmm...now that sounds nice.
FROM THE BUS/TRAIN STATION
Public Transit - Skytrain (Cheap!)
Just south of the Pacific Central Station you can see the Skytrain Station. Take the Westbound train, heading in the direction of 'Waterfront Station' 2 stops to Granville station. Take the Granville street exit and walk south (away from the mountains and the water) for 4 blocks. The hostel is just past Nelson street on the right side of the road.
Trip Duration: Approximately 25 minutes. AND Cost: $2.50
Taxi (Easy!)
The easiest most convenient way to get here is by taxi. A taxi from the bus/train station is approximately $10.
