Join us on our Schooner tour and see the parts of Canada that even some locals don’t know about! You’re going to love every minute of this 19 day tour. There’s just so much we need to show you!

We’ll journey throughout Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and P.E.I., stopping off to explore colourful coastal towns, red sanded beaches, awe inspiring land and seascapes, as well as partaking in vibrant nightlife and devouring the culture and history of the larger cities!

There’s so much variety on our Schooner tour – From digging for clams in Digby (and eating them of course) to whale watching, hiking, brewery and winery tours, walking the ocean floor at the Bay of Fundy and taking a lobster boat cruise. There’s an abundance of activities for absolutely everyone!

Day 1: Toronto to Montreal
Meet your guide and fellow passengers in Toronto and travel along the St Lawrence seaway to Montreal, City of Festivals and the largest French speaking city outside of Europe. En-route we stop for a beautiful cruise of the Thousand Islands. Tonight we’ll explore the vibrant nightlife of this wonderful city. (Thousand Islands boat cruise included).

Day 2: Montreal
Enjoy some free time to explore the picturesque city of Montreal, including Mont Royal, the Old City, boutiques, Cathedrals and the cafes and bars. Bring your French dictionary to practice your language skills! (Breakfast included).

Day 3: Montreal to Riviere Du Loup
Our journey eastward continues as we cross to the southern shore of the St. Lawrence River to our overnight destination of Riviere du Loup or “Wolf River”. Our travels take us along spectacular vistas through small French speaking towns that were founded by Basques fishermen from France over 350 years ago. The St. Lawrence River changes from fresh to salt water in this area so keep an eye out for seals and other marine animals! We’ll have a group dinner at our hostel tonight and some free time in the evening. (Breakfast and dinner included).

Day 4: Riviere Du Loup to Moncton
We cross from Quebec into New Brunswick—the only officially bilingual province in Canada so you can still practice your French language skills! This is the homeland of the Acadians—a warm a friendly people with a proud history and rich culture. Today we see the world's longest covered bridge as well as Magnetic Hill. (Breakfast included)

Day 5: Moncton to Digby
This morning we start towards the world famous Bay of Fundy, travelling through the Annapolis Valley . We spend tonight in the special town of Digby a beautiful east coast town you will never forget. Group dinner tonight at the hostel featuring the famous Digby Scallops! (Breakfast and dinner included)

Day 6: Digby
We spend the day exploring this spectacular region, including a clam dig on the beach (voted best activity!) and visiting the stunning Digby neck. Tonight we’ll relax into another peaceful evening in this east coast fishing town. (Breakfast and clam dig and meal included).

Day 7: Digby to Halifax
Today our tour takes us towards Halifax, the capital of Nova Scotia. Along the way we visit Peggy's Cove-one of the most beautiful and scenic villages in the east as well as Lunenburg, which is home to the world famous Bluenose II sailing ship! We’ll spend the night in the vibrant city of Halifax! (Breakfast included).

Day 8: Halifax
Enjoy lots of free time to explore Halifax on foot today, there is plenty to see and do in this maritime city! Later in the afternoon we’ll go for a tour of the famous Alexander Keith’s Brewery - the oldest brewery in Canada. Then we can head out for a group dinner at a local pub! (Keith’s Brewery included).

Day 9: Halifax to Pleasant Bay (Cape Breton)
We’ll meet up with any passengers on our Puffin tour this morning then head towards the incredible region known as the Cape Breton Highlands, which are home to Canada's Scottish heritage. We will have several breathtaking photo stops en-route and we’ll hike the famous Skyline Trail where we’ll keep our eyes peeled for moose! Tonight we stay in a lovely hostel located on the Cape Breton Road. (Dinner included).

Day 10: Cape Breton
You’ll have the opportunity to do an amazing whale watching tour this morning ($50) where you will see Minke and Humpback whales and sometimes dolphins and seals! After the cruise, we will visit some beautiful areas of the park including MacIntosh Brook and Black Brook beach. Tonight we’ll wind down by a warming campfire on the beach under the stars!

Day 11: Pleasant Bay (Cape Breton) to Bear on the Lake (Cape Breton)
Today we continue to explore the Cape Breton region. We visit Ingonish Beach and the Middle Head hike where we explore the spectacular views of the coastal cliffs! Tonight we relax beside the lake and roast some marshmallows over the campfire! (Dinner included).

Day 12: Cape Breton
Sydney, a small coastal town in Cape Breton will welcome us for a day trip! We’ll explore the Harbour Front and have lunch and then tour the National Historic Site of Fortress of Louisbourg. This fort was founded in 1713 by the French and developed over several decades into a thriving centre for fishing and trade. Its two sieges, especially that of 1758, were turning points in the Anglo-French struggle for what Canada is today. Tonight we stay again at the wonderful Bear on the Lake hostel.

Day 13: Bear on the Lake (Cape Breton) to Charlottetown
This morning we travel to Prince Edward Island, Canada's smallest and greenest province. We take a beautiful drive and a ferry ride to the island. When we arrive we’ll explore Charlottetown, home to Canada's confederation signing!

Day 14: Prince Edward Island
Today we continue to explore P.E.I., visiting Cavendish Beach as well as the beautiful Anne of Green Gables homestead. (Breakfast included).

Day 15: Charlottetown to Moncton
We start back into New Brunswick today across the 13km long Confederation Bridge and take a Lobster Boat cruise with a fresh lobster lunch. We’ll also take a tour of Hopewell Rocks, an amazing area in the Bay of Fundy. This is where you can see and learn about the incredible tidal changes which are some of the highest in the world! Tonight we will stay in Moncton. Join your guide for a city walk and a night out on the town! (Breakfast included).

Day 16: Moncton to Quebec City
Quebec City is our destination today! With a stop first at Montmorency Falls, which are 1.5 times higher than Niagara Falls, we arrive in Quebec City around dinner time. Quebec City is the only walled city in North America and a spectacular place! Tonight we can enjoy some poutine or crepes to get a taste of local flavour! Bon appetit! (Breakfast included).

Day 17: Quebec City
We take time today to wander the narrow walkways and cobblestone streets, visiting boutiques, museums and cafes. We’ll enjoy another group dinner at our hostel then tonight we can visit a local bar for some live music! (Dinner included).

Day 18: Quebec City to Ottawa
We journey into the countryside of “la belle province” today and we’ll travel to Ottawa - the capital of Canada. After we get checked into our hostel, join your guide for a city walking tour to Parliament Hill and end in the Byward market where we can sit in an outdoor café and soak up the atmosphere.

Day 19: Ottawa
There is more time today to explore this beautiful city. You can choose to visit a museum, go shopping or enjoy a cycle by the Rideau Canal. (Breakfast included).

Day 20: Ottawa to Toronto
The last day of our amazing tour! We head to Toronto today, stopping along the way to have a picnic lunch at Sandbanks Provincial Park on one of the most beautiful beaches in Ontario! We arrive back in Toronto around 6:00pm to drop you off at your downtown hostel. (Breakfast included).
