Northeast USA & Canada Explorer

Bakpak Staff Writer Shilo Urban

montreal-cityscape.jpg

Chock full of sights, cities, and countries, this route takes you through all the highlights of the northeastern USA and the eastern side of Canada. You will experience tiny maritime villages in Cape Cod, Francophone culture in Montreal, the amazing surge of Niagara Falls, and the center of the universe: New York City. Since you will be traveling through many big cities and congested areas, plan some extra time for stops and be sure to rotate drivers and navigators.

Highlights

Hit the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto or have a cold one in the downtown Distillery District. Peer over the edge of Niagara Falls and dare your friends to go over in a barrel. Channel your inner flower child in Woodstock, New York and then indulge your outer city kid in the Big Apple. Chow down on chow mein in Chinatown, walk across the Brooklyn Bridge, and visit Ms. Liberty. Watch the whales from Cape Cod, Massachusetts and sip a steaming bowl of clam chowder from the deck. Immerse yourself in American history in Boston from colonial architecture to revolutionary cemeteries. Lick a triple scoop of Ben & Jerry’s in Burlington and then hop the border to the cultured and chilly Montreal, and relive your adventures with your friends over a steaming cup of espresso.
