Getting to Amsterdam
Amsterdam is about 300 miles north of Paris, 365 miles west of Berlin, 125 miles north of Brussels and 45 miles north of Rotterdam.
From the Airport
Schiphol Airport is one of Europe’s best airports and is only 11 miles south west of Amsterdam. The cheapest option from the airport is the rail from Schiphol Plaza to Centraal Station. It takes 15-20 minutes and costs only 3.90. Trains operate every 15 minutes from 4am-12am and hourly thereafter.
Coach & Rail
Eurolines buses depart from the bus terminal outside Amstel Station. You can take the metro five stops from Centraal Station to get there. Eurail and Thalys trains arrive and depart from Amsterdam Centraal Station where you can walk to your hostel, rent a bike or catch a tram. The Eurostar from London arrives in Brussels where you can easily catch connecting trains to Amsterdam Centraal Station.
