Getting Around Barcelona

getting-around-icon

Due in part to hosting the ’92 Olympics, Barcelona has a fantastic transit system with fast, air-conditioned cars that zip along the city’s five metro lines. Tickets can be purchased inside every metro station. Metro hours are Mon-Thur and Sun, 5am-12am, Fri-Sat, 5am-2am. After 12am yellow night buses (all of which pass through Plaça de Catalunya) pick up the slack.

Regular metro and bus fare options include a single trip for 1.35, the T-10 card which is valid for 10 trips for 7.70, the T-Dia card which is an unlimited day card for 5.80.

Alternatively, the Tourist Card includes unlimited travel on the metro, bus, urban line, TRAM and Renfre for 10.70 (2-days) up to 23.10 (5-days).
