Getting to Florence
From the Airport
Amerigo Vespucci Airport or Peretola is located about 30 minutes away from downtown Florence. VolainBus Airport Shuttle costs 4.50 and heads to Florence City Center/Central Station. You can also fly to nearby Galileo Galilei Airport in Pisa, where there is direct rail service into Florence (takes 1 hour).
Rail
The main train station, Santa Maria Novella, is a 5 minute walk from the Duomo and the city center.
Bus
The main bus station is located right across the street from the train station. From here, SITA operates an extensive route of buses to the Tuscan countryside, the only affordable way to see this magnificent landscape.
