Getting to Glasgow
Glasgow is an hour’s drive east of Edinburgh and a 4.5-hour rail trip (8hrs by bus) north of London.
From the Airport
Glasgow Airport is located 8 miles south west of the city. Take bus #905 from stand 3 to the city centre every 20-30 minutes from 6:30am-midnight for £4.49 o/w, £6.29 return. From stand 1, bus #500 runs every 10 minutes, 24hrs, for £4.20 o/w, £6.20 return. Rail is not directly available from the airport. Glasgow Prestwick airport is located 22 miles (35km) to the south-west of Glasgow. From here, you can catch a FirstScotrail train to Glasgow Central Station every 30 minutes (44min, from £6.40 o/w) or to Edinburgh via Glasgow (2hrs 15mins, from £14.70).
Coach & Rail
The main station is Buchanan Bus Station located on Killermont Street in central Glasgow. Central Station handles trains to England and southern Scotland. Queen Street Station services trains to northern Scotland. Both stations are within walking distance of each other and centrally located.
