Have you ever...searched for slugs in the depths of the Black Forest?

As the setting for many childhood fairy-tales, the Black Forest in the Bavarian region of Germany holds alluring villages, mysterious fog-covered groves of trees, and LOTS of slugs. Stay with the cuckoo-clocks in the market town of Freiberg at night, and venture out into Schwarzwald (The Black Forest) during the day to experience the magical nature of the woods; indeed you may feel fairies flit on your shoulder or smell the wood fire from a far away cottage- tended by Goldilocks, perhaps? Watch your step, though: this slice of Germany is not only home to slimy slugs but to the world’s only giant earthworm as well.
