Here at HelloBCN Hostel, we’re passionate about travel and Barcelona and we use this energy to help make your stay in Barcelona an experience not to forget!

We offer you a clean, safe retreat in the midst of this exhilarating city: a place to relax and socialise. And we’re only 10 minutes walk to Las Ramblas and 2 minutes to the metro and buses.

The hostel has 4, 6 and 8 bed dormitories with share bathrooms, and several private rooms with ensuites. We also have a large common area where you can relax and meet other guests, or enjoy a home style meal prepared in our guest kitchen.

Most importantly, there is NO additional charge for things we consider essential for a comfortable stay: SECURITY (incl. large locker in your room), friendly service, linen, breakfast, internet, air-conditioning/heating, luggage storage, and even a small gym. ALL INCLUDED in the one low price!

Breakfast, sheets, internet, WIFI, air conditioning, heating, blankets, lots of guided activities such as beach volley ball, excursions to Montserrat, Sitges (activities change depending on the season).

Just a few minutes walk from the hostel you will find popular tourist attractions like La Rambla, Palau Güell, the Gothic Quarter, and Montjuic (although being a mountain it's uphill or you can cheat and take the funicular) where you will find Poble Español, the Magic Fountain and the '92 Olympic stadium.

Only 2 minutes walk from the hostel is the metro stop Paral·lel from which you can take the metro (green and purple lines) to Park Güell, La Padrera, Casa Batlló and the Sagrada Familia.

Taking a lovely stroll (approximately 30 minutes) through Port Vell you will come to Barcelona's beaches! Or if you prefer you can save your energy for later on in the evening and catch a bus - the bus stop is just 2 minutes from the hostel.

Just around the corner from the hostel you will also find one of Barcelona's favorite hot spots - Sala Apolo (don't miss Nasty Monday, on Monday night of course!)

We are ideally located behind the popular Apolo Theatre/Sala Apolo, with easy access to supermarkets, restaurants, bars, nightclubs, banks and Montjuic etc. Below you will find simple instructions on how to find us. All you need to know is how you’re arriving in Barcelona - by sea, air, road or rail?

HANDY TRAVEL TIPS:
1) It is more economical to buy a "T10" (10 trip pass) which is valid for 10 trips on all of Barcelona’s public transport system. And it can be used by more than one person. (More info http://www.tmb.cat/en/bitllets-i-tarifes)
2) If you are flying with Ryan Air check which airport you will be flying into: BCN (Prat), Girona or Reus. If you are flying into Girona or Reus you will have to catch a bus to Barcelona (approx 1 hour and 30 mins). Girona buses bring you to the main bus station (Nord) and Reus buses bring you to the main train station (Sants).
3) Special care should be taken when arriving in Barcelona as pick pocketers tend to take advantage of weary travellers. As a security measure we recommend that you have a copy of passport and other travel documents in your email account. This way you have access to it no matter where you are or what happens.

GETTING TO THE HOSTEL FROM PARAL·LEL METRO STATION (2 mins walk):
•Exit the metro following the signs for Nou de la Rambla and look for the Apolo Theatre.
•Walk behind the Apolo Theatre along the street Nou de la Rambla for one block until you reach the street Vila I Vila.
•Turn left and immediately right again into Lafont Street
•The hostel is at number 8 – 10

FLYING into Barcelona airport (El Prat):
(BARCELONA AIRPORT NOW HAS 2 TERMINALS – make sure you check which airport you are arriving to)

ARRIVING INTO TERMINAL 1
•When exiting the arrivals area follow the signs for buses. You can either take the Aerobus (approx 5.30 euros) which is direct to Plaza Espanya or alternatively you can take Bus number 46 (approx 1,70 euros) which also goes to Plaza Espanya but has various stops along the way.
•Get off the bus at Plaza Espanya.
•Take the underground metro, – line 3 (green) in the direction Trinitat Nova, get off in Paral·lel (2 stops) and then follow the directions above to find the hostel – just a 2 minute walk from here.
• (If you prefer to catch the train instead of the bus you can catch the free shuttle bus to Terminal 2 where the train station is situated and follow the directions below.)

ARRIVING INTO TERMINAL 2
•Take the airport train to Sants station. Trains run every 30 minutes from 6am to 11.44pm (Journey time - 30 minutes). You can purchase a T10 (10 trip pass) at the train station which can be used for the train, metro and buses. Or you can buy a one way ticket (approx 2.80 euros).
•At Sants change to the metro system: take line 3 (green) in the direction Trinitat Nova, get off in Paral·lel and then follow the directions above to find the hostel – just a 2 minute walk from here.

ARRIVING BY BUS TO NORD STATION (MAIN BUS STATION):
(NB. some buses come into Sants – the main train station. See below for directions from Sants)
•Take the metro, line 1 (red), to Universidad.
•Change to line 2 (purple), direction Paral·lel .
•Get off in Paral·lel (3 stops) and then follow the directions above to find the hostel – just a 2 minute walk from here

ARRIVING BY TRAIN:
Coming to the hostel from the main train station – SANTS STATION:
•Take line 3 (green), direction Trinitat Nova, get off in Paral·lel and then follow the directions above to find the hostel – just a 2 minute walk from here.

Coming to the hostel from FRANCE STATION (França)
•Take bus number 57, 157, 36 or 64 in Pla de Palau
•Get off at the corner of Nou de la Rambla and Paral·lel - look out for the Apolo Theatre.
•Walk behind the Apolo Theatre along Nou de la Rambla for one block until you reach the street Vila I Vila
•Turn left and immediately right again into Lafont Street.
•The hostel is at number 8 – 10.

ARRIVING BY FERRY:
•Take bus number 20 at the World Trade Centre in the Moll of Barcelona, direction ‘Pla del congres’.
•It’s just 2 stops to the corner of Nou de la Rambla and Paral·lel (look out for the Apolo Theatre)
•Walk behind the Apolo Theatre along Nou de la Rambla for one block until you reach the street Vila I Vila
•Turn left and immediately right again into Lafont Street.
•The hostel is at number 8 – 10.
