• Kinlay House overlooks Christ Church Cathedral. It is one of Dublin’s oldest and most recognised landmarks. Be sure to pop over when you are with us.
• Collins Barracks is the oldest military barracks in Europe and is home to the Museum of the Decorative Arts & History. An easy 20 minute stroll down the Liffey from the hostel.
• Dublin Castle is right across the road from Kinlay House. Highlights include the 13th century record tower, the splendid State Apartments and the world treasures contained in the Chester Beatty Library.
• Almost everyone that stays at Kinlay House makes it to the Guinness Storehouse. The tour provides a fascinating insight into the black stuff and concludes with a pint in the Gravity Bar with its panoramic views of the city.
• Ireland's own Alcatraz! Kilmainham Gaol was founded in 1796 and throughout it's history it has housed many of Ireland's "infamous rebels" including the leaders of the 1916 rising. Self-guided tours are available daily and more recently, opera is being staged due to the great acoustics offered.

Transport from the Airport

Aircoach: provides a 24-hour service between the airport and the city (alight at Trinity College) with departures every 15 minutes from 05:00 until midnight and hourly from midnight until 05:00. Tickets can be purchased online atwww.aircoach.ie or from the driver when boarding. This cost is €7.00 one-way and €12.00 return. Journey time approx 30mins

Airlink: operates to and from the airport approximately every 20 minutes and is €6.00 one way / €10.00 return. Jump on either bus number 747 (05.45am - 11.30pm) and alight at O'Connell Street or number 748 (06.50 - 9.30pm) and alight at Wood Quay - a five minute walk from Kinlay House. Journey time approx. 30mins

Dublin Bus: the most economical means of transport into the city. Take the 16A and alight at College Green. The cost is €2.00 each way. Note, correct change is required. Journey time approx. 1hour 20 mins

Taxi: costs between €30-€40 depending on traffic and will take between 30-40 minutes.

On Foot:

From Trinity College: Walk along College Green onto Dame Street. Continue onto Lord Edward Street, Kinlay House is at the very top on the right hand side, just before Christchurch Cathedral.

From O'Connell Street: Cross O'Connell bridge and continue along Westmoreland street. Turn right at College Green (Trinity College) and continue on Dame street to Lord Edward street, you will find us on the right just before Christchurch Cathedral

From Wood Quay: Turn left before the Dublin City Council offices onto Fishamble Street, continue to the top of the hill ( Christchurch Cathedral is on the right), turn left onto Lord Edward Street and you will find us on the left hand side.
