Thalys is a system of high-speed trains that travel around Germany, Belgium, France, and the Netherlands. Trains travel between the main cities of Paris, Brussels, Cologne and Amsterdam, with trains also stopping in Aachen, Antwerp, Bruges, Charleroi, Ghent, Liege, Mons, Namur, Ostend, Aime La Plagne, Albertville, Bourg Saint Maurice, Chambery, Landry, Moutiers, Rotterdam, Schiphol, and the Hague.
Ticket prices differ depending on departure and destination cities. Tickets can be purchased in Comfort 1 (1st Class) or Comfort 2 (2nd Class). There are several different types of tickets available:
Travel Freely fares - Unlimited exchange before departure; 100% refundable before departure and up to 1 hour afterwards at the Thalys departure station; 50% refundable from 1 hour after departure.
Travel Smart fares - Exchangeable once up to the day before departure1; 50% refundable before departure and up to 1 hour afterwards at the Thalys departure station.
Travel at Low Cost fares - Cannot be exchanged or refunded
Youth fares - Exchangeable once before departure and up to 1 hour afterwards at the Thalys departure station1; 100% refundable before departure and up to 1 hour afterwards at the Thalys departure station.
