There are many options for getting around Europe depending upon your time and budget constraints. They include budget airlines, coach, rail passes, backpacker transport, tours and car/camper rental.
Rail & Coach Passes
Rail passes are a convenient and affordable way to travel throughout Europe. Once you obtain a train schedule, hopping from one country to the next (and everything in between) is simple and often fun. Riding the rail is a great way to meet other backpackers and get the most out of your backpacking experience.

Backpacker Tours

The popular hop-on, hop-off tours allow you to travel the route at your own pace over a given amount of time. While on the bus, it’s like a tour, but you can get off any time and catch the next bus coming through. Go to Backpacker Tour Listings
Airfare
There are numerous travel agencies, travel websites and ticket consolidators offering cheap tickets to Europe. The busiest and usually the most expensive time to travel is in the summer, particularly June to August. During January to March, it is often possible to get airfare on a major airline for as low as $99 each way from the East Coast (plus taxes).
Once you arrive, there is more on offer now for flying around Europe than ever before! Options include airpasses, flight coupons and discount airlines.
