California Coast

If there is a symbol for California that has stood the test of time, it must be the car. Maybe if things keep on course for another 20 years, we can substitute a silicon chip, but for now it’s the old four-wheel, gas guzzling, freedom giving, can’t-live-without-it automobile. And if Bakpak Travelers are going to partake in the experience, then they might as well do it the right way – by tooling up and down the Pacific Coast Highway between LA and San Francisco. The scenic beauty is on par with the most breathtaking in the world, and if it’s a nice day and you roll your windows down and stick your tongue into the wind just right – well, you can catch a taste of America right there. The California Coast, also known as the Pacific Coast Highway (PCH 1 or Hwy 1) from Los Angeles to San Francisco features Santa Barbara, Big Sur, Hearst Castle, Monterey and Santa Cruz. The scenic beauty of the coast is on par with the most breathtaking in the world.
