Las Vegas Casinos

Casinos in Vegas are everywhere. You can even lose your shirt at the slot machines without leaving the airport. With all the competition, the casinos have to try all sorts of strategies to draw crowds. So, in addition to the free drinks when gambling (even on the 5cent slots) and the cheap buffets, many casinos offer some form of theme park, hot night club or headline entertainment.

Circus Circus

A pioneer of the casino/amusement park combo. The AdventureDome, its amusement park encased within a dome behind the casino, has coasters, flume rides, moving dinosaurs, etc. Entrance and the live circus acts are free, but you pay per ride. The hotel has a cheap, all-u-can-eat dinner buffet.

The MGM Grand

The world’s largest hotel and, as such, a luxurious place to go. Also have a 30-acre amusement park, behind the casino, complete with roller coasters, live shows and free-fall rides.

New York-New York

If you don’t get to go to the Big Apple, this casino is the next best thing. 3790 Las Vegas Blvd. S.

Stratosphere

The tallest observation tower in the US at 1,149 feet. Their elevators take you up there in 30 seconds at 1,800 feet/second. It’s also got three neck-creaking rides wrapped around the structure, the X-Scream, the Insanity, and the Big Shot (a must).
