Relax in a hot tub with panoramic views of the Pacific! Just 50 miles south of San Francisco, the Pigeon Point Lighthouse still shines bright for travelers.

Dorms $20+, Private $55+

Sleep under the beacon of a historic 115-foot, active lighthouse, and wake up to explore a beautiful coastal landscape teeming with marine life.

Hostelling International's Pigeon Point Lighthouse Hostel provides comfortable, affordable accommodations in the restored lighthouse keeper's quarters, with private or dorm (4-5 beds) rooms with shared bathrooms. Guest enjoy cozy lounges, fully equipped kitchens, and amenities including satellite Internet, free WiFi, and free parking. The fog signal building houses detailed displays and artifacts on area history and wildlife, and the boardwalk lining the cliff's edge makes a wonderful spot to watch the sun set. On weekends, free history walks guided by State Parks docents are available on the hostel grounds.

The hostel is a convenient base for numerous outdoor adventures, including biking, hiking, kayaking, surfing, and horseback riding at nearby beaches. Explore the teeming tide pools, protected wetlands, and majestic redwood forests nearby. Between January and April, watch the ocean for gray whales on their annual migration, or trek out to the nearby Ano Nuevo State Reserve to watch the elephant seals during their winter breeding season.

In the evenings, after a long day of exploring the coastal landscape, take a dip in the hostel's private, cliff-side hot tub. Watch the ocean crash against the land and the seals play in the rocky surf while soaking your worries away. It's truly an experience to be remembered! Reserve your stay at the Pigeon Point Lighthouse Hostel today, and experience the nostalgia, romance, and adventure of this unique coastside destination.
