Contact Bakpak Dave
Bakpak Dave is here to help you with your camper or motorhome rental. You can email me at info@bakpakguide.com, or complete our Camper/RV Rental Inquiry Form above. I am also available for a phone-consulation if arranged in advance (Pacific Standard Time). And yes, that is what I really look like!
How do I book a Motorhome?
Complete our Camper/RV Rental Inquiry Form to let us know pick up and drop off dates and your pick-up/drop-off points. We will then check availability and provide you a quote. To reserve your motorhome, you pay a deposit of 20% with the balance due to at vehicle pick up (or 30 days prior for the 19-22ft RB Motorhome). The deposit can be refundable, depending on when you cancel.
Why Book with Bakpak?
At no extra cost to you, Bakpak offers personalized travel agency services to travelers planning their USA Road Trip adventure. We will help you find the best camper or motorhome for your budget and itinerary and book it for you at no additional cost. We will most likely save you money too.
How old must I be?
The minimum age to rent a motorhome depends on the rental operator and is either 21 or 25 years old. Please refer to the list of vehicles and the stated minimum age requirements.
Why Rent a Motorhome?
Motorhomes offer the ultimate comfort for your road trip adventure. Sure they are more expensive than a campervan but you get the luxuries and space not afforded otherwise. If you are a family or a few friends sharing the cost, it becomes affordable.
Is there a minimum rental period?
There is no minimum rental period, however, in the busier times, the daily rate might be higher such that you end up paying for the full cost of a 7 day rental anyway. For the RB Motorhomes, there is a 7 day minimum rental period.
What Discounts are available?
Long hire discounts of 5% are provided for rentals over 21 days and early bird discounts of up to 15% off the daily rate are available if you book as early as October 31 and as late as January 15 for the following summer.
Where can I stay overnight?
In addition to campgrounds throughout the USA, you can park almost anywhere although you do need to check local parking ordinances and sign to make sure. Otherwise, you may get a ticket. Remember though that motorhomes require a hookup to operate power unless you use the generator.
Which Side of the Road?
In the USA and Canada, you will drive on the right side of the road, opposite to England, Scotland, Australia and New Zealand.
Are they Safe to Drive?
Yup. Since they are small vans/mini-van type vehicles converted to campers, they are easy to drive, unlike large motorhomes. And they use much less gas too!
Are motorhome transmissions manual or auto?
Motorhomes have automatic transmissions. If you have not driven an Automatic before, don't worry as it's very easy and you can get a quick lesson before departure.
What States/Countries can I travel to?
You can travel to all US states (well, maybe not Hawaii) and Canada but not Mexico.
How far can I travel on a full tank of fuel?
It depends on the motorhome. Please see the individual motorhome detail pages for further information.
Do I need an international drivers license?
No, but you do need a license from your country.
