For those with larger parties that really want to take over the road and travel in style, consider a camper or motorhome rental. Great for families or a bunch of friends, sleep 2 to 4 depending on the size of your vehicle.

Base rental rates range from $39/day in very low season (winter) to $150-170/day during July/August. These rates include basic liability but exclude miles, taxes and fees. Rentals over 14 days receive discounts from 3-10%.

Campers can be picked up and dropped off in Los Angeles, San Francisco or Las Vegas. One way fees apply.

Each vehicle is supplied with a complimentary Welcome Pack for the first night. The pack contains matches, mini shampoo and conditioner, dishwashing liquid, sponge, soap, salt and pepper, coffee, tea and sugar sachets.

Camper Pricing

Pricing is based on availabilty and thus not set rates can be provided. Prices do range from $39/day in the lowest season to as high as $170/day in the August high season. Discounts of 3-10% for rentals from 14-days. Prices do not include miles, optional extras or local sales tax and admin fees of 10%. A vehicle preparation fee of $100 also applies.

One Way Fees
One way rentals are available subject to a 7 day minimum rental period. A one way rental fee of $200 applies.

Mileage Packages
500 mile packs cost $156 per rental. Excess miles are charged at $0.35 per mile.

All-Inclusive Packages
For an additional $75/day, you receive Liability Reduction Option $0 (zero liability), Unlimited Miles, Administration Fees/Taxes, Personal Kits, Vehicle Preparation Fee, Cheapa Campa Welcome Pack, Vehicle Consultation, 24hr Roadside Assistance, Extra Driver Fees, Camp Chairs and Table, Maps and Camp Ground Guides.

Insurance and Excess Reduction Options

Comprehensive insurance is included in the daily rate and covers third party property and public liability to US$1,000,000. Renters are liable for the first US$1000.00 of any damage caused in any one accident.

Optional Collision Damage Waiver to reduce your liability to $0 for any accidental damage to a vehicle is available for $15 per day. The maximum amount payable for this Option per rental is $375 (ie. 25 days rental). A security deposit, (bond) of $200 will be collected at vehicle pickup. This security deposit, (bond) is payable to the supplier by an open signed credit card imprint with an authorization obtained (sufficient funds must be available for $200).

Terms & Conditions 

The following are a few key terms and conditions. Full terms will be provided with your quote.

  • Deposit: A deposit of 10% is due at time of booking and can be paid by credit card or paypal.
  • Reservations: Full payment (less your deposit) for the rental fee and any additional options is payable upon collection of your vehicle.
  • Payments: Payment must be made in U.S. Dollars in cash, MasterCard, Visa, or American Express.
  • Minimum rental is five days for rentals commencing during the periods 1 April 2010 to 30 June 2010 and 1 October 2010 to 31 March 2011. The minimum rental is seven days for rentals commencing during the period 1 July 2010 to 30 September 2010. Minimum rental periods are subject to change during other peak periods.
  • Sales Tax/Admin fees: 10% is charged on all bookings.
  • Driver's License/Proof of Identification: A current and full motor vehicle driver’s licence is required. If the driver’s licence is not in the English language then an international driver’s licence is also recommended.
  • Minimum Age of Drivers: All drivers must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Burning Man Festival surcharge of $500 applies
  • Cancellation Fees
    If cancelled 45+ days prior to pick up and 7 days or more after the booking date - $250 cancellation fee
    If cancelled 44 to 8 days prior to pick up - 50% of Net Rental (minimum $250)
    If cancelled 7 to 4 days prior to pick up - 75% of Net Rental (minimum $250)
    If cancelled 3 days or less prior to pick up or no show - 100% of Net Rental plus one way fees.
  • A Bond of $1,000 will be collected at the time of entering into the Rental Contract. The $1,000 will be debited to the credit card account immediately. An administration fee of $20 applies. The Bond is fully refundable when the vehicle is returned to the correct location on time, is full of fuel and all other terms of the Rental Contract have been complied with.
