Campervan base rental rates range from $$265-385/week in winter to $455-$609/week in peak summer season depending on how long you rent a campervan and excluding optional extras (see pricing below).

Campervan Pricing

The following rates are for Pickup and Drop Off in San Francisco. Prices include minimum Liability Cover and 100 free miles per day with additional miles at $0.25/mile.. Sales Tax of CA8.50% is not included and is charged on the total rental cost. Prices are subject to change without notice at anytime before you make a booking.

One Way Fees
One way drop off fees charged for Drop-offs fees are as follows:
Between San Francisco and Los Angeles: $150. Minimum booking is 7 days. No drop-off fee for bookings over 35 days.
Between San Francisco or Los Angeles and Las Vegas $300. Minimum booking is 14 days. No drop off fee for bookings over 35 days.

Mileage Packages
200 total Miles free per day @ $15/day extra (ie 100 extra miles per day)
Unlimited Miles, @$19/day extra

Vehicle Pick Up and Return Times
Vehicles are available for pick up between 11am and 4pm
Vehicles must be returned by 10am
Outside these times, additional fees may be charged

Campervan and Liability Insurance Options

There are two types of insurance for your rental, campervan insurance and liability insurance as follows:

Campervan Insurance
Covers damage to the campervan itself and is not included in the cost of the rental. You are responsible for any damage caused to the campervan unless your travel insurance or home country car insurance covers you. You can also purchase Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) Insurance which costs $9/day and covers you for damage to the campervan in case of a collision with no deductible (zero excess).

Liability Insurance
Protects you against 3rd party claims if you injure a person or damage someone else’s property. Basic Statutory limits for liability and property damage are included in your campervan daily rate. If your travel insurance does not include liability cover to US$1,000,000, you can purchase Supplementary liability Insurance (SLI) for an additional $9.95/day. This covers third party property and public liability to US$1,000,000.

You can rent these optional extras and more. GPS $5/Day (Max $60), Roof Storage box $50; Picnic table $25; Car Seat or booster seat $30; 2 person tent $30, Solar shower $10. Awning $60, Snow chains $50.

Terms & Conditions 

The following are a few key terms and conditions. Full terms will be provided with your quote.

  • Minimum and Maximum Rental Period: The minimum rental period is 7 Days. There is no maximum rental period.
  • Deposit: A deposit of 15% is due at time of booking and can be paid by credit card or paypal.
  • Reservations: Full payment (less your deposit) for the rental fee and any additional equipment, excess reduction or mileage package, is required upon collection of the vehicle.
  • Rates calculation: Rates are calculated as per night. Where a rental crosses into another season, the rate will split to allow for the new season rate.
  • Payments: Payment must be made in U.S. Dollars in cash, MasterCard or Visa
  • Sales Tax: 9.25% California State Tax is charged on all bookings.
  • Cancellations: If your confirmed booking is cancelled at least 30 days prior to pick up, your deposit will be refunded less a $25 cancellation fee. If your confirmed booking is cancelled within 14-29 days days of pick up, a cancellation fee equal to 15% of the total rental value will be charged. If your confirmed booking is cancelled within 8-13 days days of pick up, a cancellation fee equal to 25% of the total rental value will be charged. If your confirmed booking is cancelled within 7 Days of pick up or there is a no show, the full balance due will be charged.
  • Booking amendments: It is possible to extend your rental without incurring a fee subject to availability. It is possible to shorten your rental within 21 Days of pick up. Shortening a rental will be quoted as a new rental and will be calculated at the retail rate with any current specials not applicable.
  • Driver's License/Proof of Identification: All drivers must hold a valid driver's license for the entire rental period, plus have a debit or credit card.
  • Only drivers specified on the contract are allowed to drive the vehicles. All specified drivers with their licenses must be present at time of vehicle pick up.
  • Minimum Age of Drivers: All drivers must be 21 years of age or older. Proof of age must be ascertained by a valid driver's license.
  • Additional Drivers: There is no additional charge for extra drivers.
  • Vehicle Pick Up and Drop Off: Vehicles are available for pick up between 11am and 4pm and must be returned by 10:00 a.m. on the agreed drop-off date. Late returns of more than 1 hour will incur a full-day rental charge and possible other charges relating to compensating follow on clients. Clients can book an afternoon return, but they will be charged for the drop off day. No refunds will be granted for shortened rentals. There are no refunds for late pick up or early return of vehicles.
  • Road Restrictions: Renter is liable for all damages to vehicle, tires, towing charges and other expenses as a result of a breakdown, collision, or other, associated with operating campervans in these areas. Any purchased insurance protection options will also be null and void. The following are restricted areas: Anywhere in Mexico; Death Valley between the dates 1st March and 30th September; Any unimproved road, trail, track; Any off-road areas (dunes, beaches, riverbeds, logging roads, forest trails, dirt trails etc.); Any Salt plains (including Burning Man festival).
  • General Rules: Campervans are a no smoking zone. No pets are allowed in the vehicles (except designated Service Dogs). All passengers must use seatbelts while vehicle is in motion. We not accept any liability for any injuries incurred to passengers travelling in the back of the vehicle and/or while not using seatbelts.
  • Insurance Exclusions: The renter is fully liable for any damage to the campervan or third party property if: The terms of the rental contract are breached; If the driver is does not hold an appropriate driver’s licence; damage to the campervan is caused by wilful or reckless driving; Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs; Driving on unsealed or restricted roads or restricted areas; Water submersion or saltwater damage caused through own fault.

How do I book a Campervan?

How old must I be?
The minimum age to rent a campervan is 21 years old.
Which Side of the Road?
In the USA and Canada, you will drive on the right side of the road, opposite to England, Scotland, Australia and New Zealand.
Are they Safe to Drive?
Yup. Since they are small vans/mini-van type vehicles converted to campers, they are easy to drive, unlike large motorhomes. And they use much less gas too!
Are the Campervan transmissions manual or auto?
Campervans have automatic transmissions. If you have not driven an Automatic before, don't worry as it's very easy and you can get a quick lesson before departure.
What States/Countries can I travel to?
You can travel to all US states (well, maybe not Hawaii) and Canada but not Mexico.
How far can I travel on a full tank of fuel?
Campervans have 27 Gallon (103L) Petrol tanks. Depending on the driving terrain and your driving style, you can travel approximately 595 Miles on a tank!! (Approx 1000km)
Do I need an international drivers license?
No, but you do need a license from your country.
